The purpose of the grant is to support the development of occupational therapy in the applicant’s native country. The maximum amount of the grant is 10 000 Swedish kronor (SEK) per year.

The grant is anticipated to be used to supplement in part the costs associated with activities such as
- participation in occupational therapy workshops, seminars, conferences or congresses in Sweden,
- study visits or auscultation in Sweden aimed at gathering extensive knowledge of occupational therapy practice,
- studies in Sweden at the doctorate or masters level related to research and education in occupational therapy,
- presenting an abstract at COTEC or WFOT congresses.
Winner of 2011
In 2011 two applications were submitted. The jury decided to support Mohammad Monjurul Karim and Roksana Hoque, Dept. of Occupational Therapy, Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Dhaka, Bangladesh for their participation in the 5th Asia Pacific Occupational Therapy Congress APOTC2011 at Chiang Mai, Thailand in November 2011. They were both presenting an individual paper at this congress. The grant sum was SEK 5000 per person.
Winner of 2010
The first year of the grant award, 2010, we received 15 applications from all over the world. The winner was the Latvian Association of Occupational Therapists for the project “E-book in Latvian language – ”Basics in Occupational Therapy for Competent Practice”, to be carried out in 2011.
